Years ago when I first saw Rene Magritte's Son of Man painting, the painting of a man in a suit with a bowler hat and an apple in front of his face - I was inspired! I wanted to create a version of this painting but using the things that I was passionate about.

Then I got the idea to create a painting of an open suit, with the buttons open to create a more casual, yet modern, type of look, with a stormtrooper's helmet. I created something very iconic, and my own painting was inspired by fine art and Star Wars. I called the painting "Son of the republic"

The painting was sold at an auction here in London Ontario, Artrageous Tech. 0 and it was a very popular piece that drew a lot of attention. To expand on this need from others who said that they wanted their own version of the painting, I create a small collection of paintings inspired off of the idea.
